About Alice
Having come from a sporting background playing rugby and completing a sports coaching degree, I then decided to head into the world of sports massage. I completed a level 5 btec in clinical sports and remedial massage at Oxford school of sports massage. Since then I have worked alongside sports teams including Basingstoke ladies rugby team and have now set up my treatment room within the Fitness Experts gym, where you will often catch me training and coaching.
I have now also trained as a personal trainer! Whilst working as a massage therapist I realised I could help my clients even more, allowing me to help strengthen and improve posture.
What is Sports massage?
Sports massage is the manipulation of soft tissues which include: connective tissue, skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. Sports massage is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.

Sports massage isn't just for athletes! Every day activities can take a toll on the body. From sitting at a desk all day to driving to simple housework jobs or even stress can lead to tight muscles causing back or neck pain. A sports massage can help relieve these and let you get on with your life pain free!
